Privacy Policy
San Fernando Sports Center is committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a positive experience on our Websites and at our facility. This policy covers this website, our Youth Programs registration process, and related on-site data collection. If you give us personal information, we handle it as described below. By using our Websites or facility, you agree to this policy; if you don't agree, please don't use them. We may update this policy periodically and will note material changes on our Websites — please check back from time to time.
Information We Collect
We collect information at the point you provide it — for example, when you submit a Youth Programs registration, request a facility rental, or contact us. Personal Information may include name, email, mailing address, phone number, date of birth, and (for minors) parent/guardian and emergency contact details, along with payment and program-preference information. It may also include photographs, video, or audio captured on-site.
How We Use It
We use Personal Information only for the purposes described here, and we will not materially change that use without your consent. This includes:
- Processing facility rentals, event bookings, and Youth Programs registrations;
- Communicating with you about your registration, schedule changes, weather/facility closures, and safety matters;
- Marketing our own programs, camps, leagues, and events to you;
- Connecting parents/guardians with affiliated third-party clubs and athletic organizations, where you've consented (see "Youth Programs" below);
- Site security, safety, and incident investigation, including via on-site cameras;
- Meeting legal, insurance, and contractual obligations.
Youth Programs
Our Youth Programs form connects families with affiliated local clubs ("Partner Organizations"). Submitting the form requires consent to share contact and program-preference details with those Partners so they, and San Fernando Sports Center, may follow up about enrollment. This may count as a data "sale/share" under some state privacy laws; residents of those states may opt out using the contact info below. The form's liability waiver is a separate acknowledgment governing participation risk, not data use.
On-Site Cameras
San Fernando Sports Center uses security cameras that may record video and audio throughout the facility for safety purposes, and footage may occasionally appear in promotional materials. Entering the facility constitutes consent to recording, consistent with our posted Facility Rules.
Your Choices
Contact us anytime to review, correct, or update your Personal Information. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails via the link in any newsletter or by contacting us; transactional messages (registration confirmations, policy updates) are not subject to unsubscribe.
Sharing
We do not sell or rent your Personal Information for marketing purposes except as you've authorized (see Youth Programs above). We may share the minimum necessary information with service providers and contractors (payment processors, insurance carriers, league/tournament bodies) to complete a requested service; in response to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process; to investigate fraud, safety threats, or Terms violations; or in connection with a merger, financing, or sale of our business, subject to a policy at least as protective as this one.
Cookies & Analytics
Our Websites use cookies and similar technologies to operate core features, understand site usage, and improve performance; declining cookies may limit some functionality. We may also collect aggregate, non-identifying data (browser, device, general location) via web logs and analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards — including SSL encryption for payment data — designed to protect your Personal Information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim liability for factors outside our reasonable control.
Retention
We retain Personal Information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes it was collected, including legal, insurance, and safety recordkeeping, after which it is deleted, anonymized, or archived securely.
Children's Privacy
Our programs serve minors, but we collect their information from a parent or guardian, not directly from the child. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information directly from children under 13 online without verified parental consent, consistent with COPPA. Parents/guardians may contact us to review or request deletion of a child's information.
Your Rights
Subject to legal, safety, and contractual exceptions, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your Personal Information; withdraw consent for its processing; opt out of third-party sharing described above; and file a complaint with your state's data protection authority. Contact us below to exercise any of these rights.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, San Fernando Sports Center and its officers, employees, coaches, and contractors are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from this policy or your use of our Websites or facility, and our aggregate liability will not exceed amounts you paid us in the prior 12 months. You agree to indemnify and hold San Fernando Sports Center harmless from claims arising from your violation of this policy or a third party's rights.
Disputes
Disputes arising from this policy or your use of our Websites or facility will be resolved by binding individual arbitration, not in court, and both parties waive any right to a jury trial or to bring/participate in a class action. This policy is governed by California law.
Our Websites may link to third-party sites outside our control. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.
